Creation of an artwork for the museum’s new reception spaces

The partnership between Degroof Petercam and the Ixelles Museum is built around the project of creating a contemporary artwork for the museum’s new reception spaces. It is based on shared fundamental values: attention to heritage, support for artists, and the conviction that art is an essential vehicle for meaning, dialogue and cohesion, benefiting all audiences.

The open call for the creation of a signature artwork, widely disseminated in 2023, was very successful among artists active in Belgium. The national communication campaign surrounding the signature artwork project reached the entire art world, highlighting the support of the bank Degroof Petercam for contemporary artistic creation in Belgium.

Project objectives

• support artistic creation and emerging contemporary artists
• reaffirm that art and the museum are places of encounter, reflection and emancipation, open to everyone
• transmit, preserve and promote art for future generations.
